Book: Siren's Song - Tales of Tir Na Tuatha by Ashley R. Lynchcategories: Book, Fae, Fairies, Angels, Shifters, Sprites, Muses, Fantasy
Ashley R. Lynchabout this book: When I began writing this book, I didn't know where it would go. I let my main character Melody guide me. Odd, I know. Characters don't write the books! I hear all the time, and that's absolutely true. The truth is I'd make a mistake in dialogue or go off outline, but those mistakes fit my characters, I kept them. That's the great part about having unique characters. You just know what fits them.
The story of Melody learning of her Fae heritage and traveling to her ancestral home flowed naturally, especially with her spunky friend Raens, the sprite, and the budding love triangle. The danger of confinement was the most exciting part, by far, but I do enjoy a good live triangle, especially of the supernatural variety.
The hardest part is definately publishing and promoting- writing is the fun part. The creative process never stops- not even in the shower! I hope everyone finds a little magic in this book, as the Fae have always fascinated me.
