"Wow, I loved it! I recommend everyone take a 20 minute break, sit in a quiet relaxing place and treat themselves to this wonderful book."
A senior couple is in pain both physically and emotionally. Time is ticking for them to go into separate senior homes and they can't bare the thought of it. But it is a struggle to get around.
John and Edna get the surprise of their lives one cold December morning when a deer comes knocking at the window. It's odd behavior for a wild animal. Is it really trying to get in the house? Is it sick? They'll have lots to talk about after this day is over. Or just so hungry that it is begging for food?
Edna wants to give it a carrot and they argue what to do about it. When John opens the door the animal forces its way in the house. Now what?
