E M McIntyre

Author E M McIntyreabout this book: The Phantom of Faerie Mountain was born from both my lifelong dream to create a magical world for others to become lost in and a fantastic trip I took to Scotland in the summer of 2001. The breathtaking scenery of the Highlands, and the day to day charm and wonderment of Edinburgh, Stirling, and quaint out-of-the-way places inspired the setting of the first of three books in The Red King Trilogy.

The cover art, created by my talented niece, was inspired by a last minute, self-portrait assignment she had for an advanced drawing class she was enrolled in during high school. While her final product is not the exact heroine featured on the cover, I told her this was 'my Abby' the minute I saw the finished assignment.

The Phantom of Faerie Mountain is a clean, appropriate story for younger, strong readers to any adult that enjoys a light fantasy with a brave and spunky heroine. The first installment of The Red King Trilogy recently placed 1st in Young Adult Fiction for the 2016 Purple Dragonfly Book Award. Enjoy!
