Susi Wrightabout this book: My inspiration to write this book came from a personal love of reading fantasy and romance and a desire to share my imagination with others.
It is an epic tale of courage and love overcoming all the odds in a fantasy world of humans, a supernatural warrior race (Gaians) and strange beasts. Set in the land of Baram,it tells about a young warrior lord with special powers over Nature whose destiny compels him to take up a quest to save the human race and his own people from a terrible threat, in return for an alliance. During his adventures, he rescues and falls in love with a kidnapped human woman, and despite the odds finds a way to complete the quest and claim his soulmate. Luminor becomes a hero, the only one with the unique power to destroy the threat the Supreme Power over the Four Fires. This is journey of self discovery as much as it is a test of Luminor's powers as he realises more about himself as he matures into his title, Lord of Fire, in addition to the ramifications and promises of the new Alliance.
I hope this story will take the reader on a journey with the characters through an exciting and sometimes frightening new world. It shows how true love and courage can cross all barriers, real or imaginary. Love and courage are virtues that never fade and even now, are things most people aspire to, perhaps need more than ever. Imagination shapes our reality. It is a story of persecution or conflict and its resolution.
The book also contains another unique aspect of my imagination, my own illustrations.
I hope readers get a feeling of satisfaction, enjoyment, perhaps even a little enlightenment and eagerness to look for more in their reading ... also in their own lives.
