Geoff Piperabout this book: Adam is a boy with a mission. His Dad is missing and a snowy Owl has laid before Adam the way to find him. Saving his Dad can also save his family - though Adam does not understand what is at stake. In this fantasy adventure, Adam confronts his own fears and fearsome enemies. He is helped by the Owl and other powerful friends to arrive at a surprising outcome.
As one who grew up in a family dealing with a parent's alcohol problem, I found myself as an adult wishing I had been able to do something to help. One evening, as I walked along a river bank, I heard an owl and the inspiration for this story sprang to life.
I let Adam take on the challenge in an unreal world set in my childhood experiences, with an owl as his guide. I found it satisfying at a deep level to face the enemy behind the demon that plagued my life for so long.
