Dwight B. Danielsabout this book: Attrition tells the story of Richard, who comes from a blue collar family and Nancy, who was raised with a silver spoon in her mouth. Richard grew up with strict parents, and couldn't wait to leave home. Nancy, on the other hand lived the life of Riley.
The two eventually meet, fall in love and marry, having a child. Just when everything was perfect and the two were on top of the world, their world crumbles when the economy goes south, causing them to lose everything.
The remaining story describes how Richard and Nancy cope with having falling from grace.
I feel there are many of us out there that can relate to this particular part of the story. When the economy went south in 2008, I was laid off for about a year. It was rough times for me, but I pulled through.
Attrition was written based on a screenplay that I wrote. I co-authored the book with Susan Flanagan. We're looking to produce the movie in the future.
In the book there are scenes where Richard becomes violent towards Nancy. I saw this growing up with my parents. My dad was extremely abusive to my mom. Because of this, I am an advocate against domestic violence. I want my readers to know that only does the victim need assistance from the abuse, but the abuser as well. I believe that all parties involved in this type of situation can overcome it and live a successful live.
Thank you in advance for purchasing my book! Enjoy and spread the word!!
