Steena M Holmes about this book: This is a story about a mother's struggle to find her kidnapped daughter. Her marriage is falling apart, her other children feel neglected and her husband needs for them to say goodbye, but Megan refuses to. This is a women's fiction/commercial fiction novel. It's a heart wrenching story that draws you in and has you rooting for characters you didn't expect to like.
I was watching my children play outside one day and realized I couldn't find my youngest. For one brief moment my world stood still and fear took over. I couldn't imagine what it would feel like to lose a child like that... and Emma's story began to play out in my mind. The hardest part of writing this story was having Megan realize that she needed to accept that her baby was gone. What did I learn? That I needed to embrace each day with my own children and love them unconditionally. I learned that there is more inside of me than I ever expected. This story will stay with you after you've read it.
