Kenneth Kit Lamugabout this book: The Stumps of Flattop Hill is a fairytale story about a girl, who in the face of fear, travels to the town's legendary haunted house. It's written in a unique style combining rhyme and prose and complimented by detailed pen art in the tradition of Edward Gorey.
The idea development process of this book spanned for several years. But once it was formed in my mind, I was able to complete it in a few months.
Throughout my life I was fascinated by fairytales and how they were inspired by reality and folklores passed on from generations. The old tales were grim and were told to warn children from the unknown. But often times, it was a way for the adults to explain the unexplained.
Those who enjoy the works of The Brothers Grimm,Tim Burton or Neil Gaiman will surely adore this book and will keep coming back to it for years to come. It is a book that is meant to be read out loud with your friends around a campfire. That's when words come to life.
I hope that the readers will find themselves enthralled in this unique world and leave them wondering what other curious mysteries are left unexplored. I've always prided myself in creating enjoyable and unique stories, and I hope this one makes that same mark.

"This is a book my kids would have dragged out of the box time after time, the one held together by sellotape and a shared love of things that go bump in the night. If there's a small person in your life who likes delightfully creepy tales, give both of you a treat and buy them this." - Vulpes Libris
"A fun read for seasoned readers; to be read out loud, an absolute must and with as much dramatic expression as you can muster…In the world of Children's literature, Kenneth Kit Lamug both illustrator and author, is more than good enough to hold his head high, and stand alongside the rest of the best. I will be on the lookout for more of his work in future." - Nicki Kirk (Reviewer)
