Aubrianna Hunterabout this book: Jake was a hardened Wyoming Rancher. Jess an independent, fiesty, city slicker architect. The two together should be like oil and water. Instead, they are like a moth to a flame; strongly attracted although not necessarily good for one another. This book is full of fiery passion, hot tempers, unnecessary anger, and misunderstanding. It seems like these two will never work it out, yet the passion between them won't be denied.
For my readers... A comment that I heard again and again through the editing process was that Jake seems like an ass. Yes, he does. Lol. However, if you hang in there with him and get the little glimpses behind the gruff exterior, you will see there beats a heart of gold. He really is a wonderful man, with his own set of flaws, granted. Yet under it all he is charming. At least, he managed to charm me.
Jess is a woman who has everything... except any self confidence. She believes in her work, yet suffers from a type of neurosis that only a lifetime of criticism can cause. Watching her emerge and accept the beautiful person she has always been was a joy for me. I hope you enjoy reading this story of two strong yet emotionally challenged people. When all is said and done, they end up fitting together like peas in a pod.
On a side note, I had originally planned to write books about Cody, Mike and Cindy each finding their own happily ever after... I am not certain at this point if that will happen or not. Honestly, as much as I love reading cowboy romances, I am not certain that I will write any more. They say to write what you know and I am a Cali girl born and raised. lol. I will keep everyone posted. However, I absolutely love these two people and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
