A.D. Trosperabout this book: Embers at Galdrilene brings together characters from different walks of life, in a world where a lake of the dead can lead to safety, where dragons can be the salvation or damnation of the world, and evil lies not in the gods, but within people willing to give up half their soul for the chance at power. Incredible bonds of friendships and love bind the characters together even as depravity and jealously try to tear them apart.
This book was inspired by desire to finally have characters behave the way I wanted. To have a story end the way I wanted. Of course I didn't know when I started it that my characters would have minds of their own. Oh I did get the ending to this book that I wanted and I did get the key scenes I wanted. But the journey from start to finish was heavily influenced by my characters saying, "Hey, lets do it this way instead."
