D.i.K. Dotyabout this book: A Stoner's Guide to Enlightenment: The Psychology of Spirituality is about uncovering the individual self (the human personality) by understanding how we program our identities, and how much of that power we relinquish to others (friends, family, authority figures, etc.) It is also about realizing the self (the experience of being) through presence of existence. Awareness of self and the realization of being are the only true gifts we have as human beings. Yet we let them falter, in awe of shiny objects. And I fear that religions are only leading us further astray.
Don't fret over the title of this book. It's not a book about drugs, though details of it do litter my personal journey. At no time do I suggest any drug will benefit anyone, for anything. I don't promise that I can deliver the world unto you, but I do promise that you have it already. If you're ready to take personal responsibility, then I think you'll find some useful stuff inside.
