Book: Losing Eva by Jennifer Siveccategories: Book, Family, Strength, Drug Abuse, Murder, Alcoholism, Hope, Forgiveness, Drama
Jennifer Sivecabout this book: I wrote Losing Eva as the continuation of Brynn's story, from Leaving Eva. After confronting some of her fears in Leaving Eva, Brynn and Adam's love story needed to be able to evolve.
I wasn't sure where their story would go when I began Losing Eva. While these two characters had certainly endured some of the greatest challenges that any two lovers can, I wasn't sure if the damage had already been done. I had to discover whether their love was strong enough to hold them together.
This was the premise for Losing Eva.
There were also a lot of loose ends to tie up, which allowed the story to continue on the roller coaster ride that Leaving Eva took the reader on. Each character's choices lead them to a place that they never imagined they would go. Some of these choices are dark and sad, while others are more hopeful.
There is just as much heartache in Losing Eva which will both confound and frustrate anyone who is a fan from the first book. But with every word, there is a reason for the path that Brynn continues to take, which will come to light more as the story closes. It's a story that should make anyone re-evaluate their own life and appreciate the people they love, even more. Because in the end, you never know where life will take you and just who you may turn out to be.
