Kimberly Kinradeabout this book: From Bella World
...A large presence settled behind me. I knew without turning around what I would find, but still I turned...
...and faced the Dragon.
About Bella World
My middle daughter, Bella, inspired this book with her love of dragons, fiery nature and the strength she has to defend those she loves. In Bella World, Bella is tired of getting blamed every time her sisters lose something. It's not her fault they misplaced something important, so why does everyone assume she took it? It makes her blood boil that no one appreciates all the things she does to help and protect people. Sometimes her anger makes her do things she regrets later.
When she, her two sisters, and their dog TayTay find a watery portal to Bella World, they're surprised to discover a town ravaged by Dragon attacks. But not all is as it seems, a lesson Bella learns when they are sent to stop the Dragon. Together, Bella and Emerald the Dragon learn to control their Dragon Fire, make amends to those they have wronged, and in the process find the appreciation and acceptance they'd sought all along.
This is a great series for 4-9 year olds, and even adults who love to delve into a little fantasy with some awesome illustrations. I wrote this series based on the imaginary worlds my own children had discovered and explored. Each book in this launch trilogy is based on one of my own little girls, Lexie, Bella and Maddie. They helped create the conflicts and storyline, using their own life experiences and struggles. The process of writing these books with my children was so much fun!
The Three Lost Kids Trilogy is the launch of an ongoing series. These first three books are chapter books with full color illustrations, a unique hybrid that I've not seen in any other chapter book. Each are about 12,000 to 15,000 words long with 20-24 full color illustrations (usually 2-3 per chapter). I hope you enjoy reading these books as much as I enjoyed writing them!
