April Joyabout this book: I believe we can all learn from each other's experiences. Many grow up thinking that their family was dysfunctional and the majority of people have happy families. As we get older we find many similarities in our family backgrounds and I wanted to share my life experience with others. Especially young teens and women. My story was written to encourage young Mothers' to pursue an education and prepare themselves for the future. You can support yourself and the family. I ended up being in an abusive relationship in my marriage and how I stayed stuck until I got help. I found a good counselor and looked to help myself. You do not have to live with a man that will abuse you. I got off the rollercoaster of domestic abuse and am happy again. The same can happen for you. Writing this book helped me put the past behind me and look forward to the future. I am now retired from a successful career and enjoying life.
