Book: Dog Aliens 1 - Raffle's Name by Cherise Kelleycategories: Book, Dog, Aliens, Science Fiction, Urban Fantasy, Funny, Dogs
Cherise Kelleyabout this book: Our dog, Raffle, narrates his version of how we came to adopt him at the animal shelter and name him Raffle. Of course, in the story, he really isn't a dog at all. He and all other dogs are really aliens from other planets, stranded here on Earth because mining operations are taking way longer than anticipated. The dogs can't wait for their humans to leave them home alone, so they can conduct their alien business.
This is the first of a series. It is rated G and written for dog lovers of all ages. There are sad parts and scary parts, but no dogs die. There is mild violence. Readers should know where babies come from, as there are references to breeding. The reading level is eighth grade, but really smart kids should be able to follow it, with a dictionary.
There are two dog love scenes, and these were really fun to write. I hope you have half as much fun reading them! Another of my favorites is the chicken scene. It is near the end, and one of the most fun chapters. Well, the rat, mouse, and pigeon scene is pretty funny, too...
