Book: Dogs and Love - Stories of Fidelity by Ferris Robinson

Ferris Robinsonabout this book: These sixteen stories are about the emotional connection between dogs and humans, and how important they are. As a recent empty-nester, I find my dogs filling the spots my sons have left, and am thankful I have them! I'm a real dog person, and so much of my day-to-day life centers around my two dogs. For example, if I am sitting down, there is a dog in my lap. Always. I wouldn't think of watching TV or reading the paper or working on the computer without my little dog snoring softly on my lap.
Although my sons love our dogs as much as I do, they joke that they've been displaced, and wonder if they would even exist if the dogs had come first. Hmmmmmm...
Dogs seem to have a sixth sense as far as the emotions of humans go; they know when we are grieving and they comfort us. Without words, dogs somehow convey empathy and that is the greatest source of comfort. If only humans knew how to do that!
I think anyone who likes dog, ever had a dog, or may want a dog would like these stories.
