Book Review: The Mistruths About Disease - Ethnomedicine as Applied to the Misconceptions of Health by Keith Moreno
|5 stars, 1 review|
Dr Keith Morenoabout this book: The majority of this book was compiled from the experiences and questions that the author encountered after relocating to Mexico City,Mexico from Atlanta, Georgia (USA). In addition, the author was no longer in favor of silence because it somehow implied complicity. However, a book of emotional opinions would not have served the reader in the likeness of unbiased research.
Despite the abundance of information available on the internet, much of it is incomplete, unsubstantiated or simply redundant.
The Mistruths about Disease simplifies a subject that oft-times results in a person being misdiagnosed, given the wrong medications, and becoming "sick" based on what the physician believes and how s/he reacts.
This book will make the reader question what we have been told about HIV/AIDS, cancer, diabetes, an alkaline body , the germ theory, milk, meat, vegetarianism, organic foods, dieting, fasting and trusting medical industry. The author willingly explains what few have had the courage to whisper.
After reading this book, the reader will be without excuses.
