Randolph N. Alvis about this book: In the darkest time of my life I cried out to God to break the cycle of depression that hung over my life like a dark cloud everyday. I had quit my job and for the next six months I applied everywhere I thought I was qualified and couldn't find anything. Most days I stayed in the bed, only getting up to eat and what I didn't realize was that I was setting the foundation to a terrible depression. As I prayed every night the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart to write down my prayers. I read these writings to my wife and sisters and they remarked they couldn't believe I wrote them and honestly I didn't. I believe these writings came from the heart of God and he proceeded to heal me of the dark depression I was in.
I have since written over fifty more writings and I think each one has something very special to say to people of any age. The enemy of your soul, Satan, is always searching for a way to destroy your walk with God. He wants you dead, but if he can keep you in a state of 'nothingness' that's just as fulfilling. I sincerely believe that God Blessed me with these writings to get me through my trial and I believe these writings can touch any soul suffering with a similar situation.
