Rick Chiantarettoabout this book: When I was eight years old, I woke from a nightmare and a shadow of a man was standing at the foot of my bed. After screaming that someone was in the house, my family sat down and had a conversation about the "other family" that lived in our home. We had all seen the ghosts, but this was the first time we all realized we weren't crazy.
Out of that experience was born my love for horror and dark fantasy. All my writing has religious or mythological undertones.
In Death of the Body, we meet Edmund, a boy who grows up in a magical world. He is betrayed by one of his teachers, and murdered. But he doesn't stay dead. He wakes to find himself in our world.
In a Catholic orphanage he learns about prophets, and wonders if his magical abilities makes him a prophet. Such blasphemy leads to an exorcism, and Edmund quickly learns to keep his mouth shut about his unique gifts.
In college, he finds himself hunted be demons who start to attack and posses his friends. In order to save himself and them, he must discover the truth about who he is, where he comes from, and how to escape death... again.
