Joseph Rashabout this book: Come with me on a journey through the violent and grim world of Mircalla. Together, with our villain Lord Scythic, we'll try to find out how the evil side lives. Along the way we'll meet an incredible cast of characters including the enigmatic Captain Favor, the terrifying Half-Ogre Gracent and the beautiful Rangers, Yffa and Bil. Heed my warning, though. The Dark Lord Scythic is no hero. He does not bargain, he trades only in swift death. If a good book filled with blood, action, romance and a bit of gore in a world packed with history and lore doesn't sound like your cup of tea then you may want to keep moving on.
This is the book that answers a question that has always bothered me. What is the Dark Lord's point of view? In Fantasy we only ever get one side of the story. In writing this book I wanted to explore the idea that not everything is so cut and dry especially when it comes to good versus evil.
Lord Scythic was a character I created to help answer this question. He is unquestionably the Dark Lord. But what I found was that even the Dark Lord can have honor, duty, love, and even sacrifice. He was a fun character to write because he isn't held to the same restrictions as a traditional hero. He can kill without remorse, or even for pleasure, and still remain the "hero" of the story.
