Ronnie Dauberabout this book: Let Faith Arise! is a collection of Inspirational messages that explains what faith is, how to get it, and how to use it. I wrote this book in 2011 when I was on a long and painful journey of healing from an aggressive and deadly cancer. As I spent every day - every hour - crying out to the Lord to heal me, I would read my Bible and find scriptures that gave me great comfort, and with each one I wrote down a message that I kept in file and read and re-read every day. I knew that if I could shut off my mind from thinking about the medical reports and learn to trust the Lord, that I could be healed, and these scriptures built up my faith daily and gave me the ability to believe God for the healing.
When I was finally free of the cancer - in other words "I BEAT THE CANCER" - I was so happy and so grateful that I decided to format these messages into a book, which is endorsed by Rev. Rich Vermillion and was published by WestBow Press in August of 2012. This book is encouragement for every Christian who wants to know what faith really is and how to apply it in their own lives, and it's inspiration to those people who aren't Christians but who would like to know God.
The book is filled with many inspirational messages making it the perfect daily devotional to build up your faith and teach you about God. Each message is in relation to the fear and the trauma that I was going through at the time, and the peace and comfort that I felt with each one. My hope is that this book will be a comfort to others, as well.
The title came to me almost instantly as I began to format the book. It was the perfect title because most Christians have no idea what faith is or what it means or that it is the foundation for a beautiful relationship with the Lord. And so I felt that it was time for Christians to learn the truth about faith, and to let their faith rise up so they could begin living their lives in good health the way that God intended.
I had an image in my mind that I wanted portrayed on the book cover and so I searched through hundreds of pictures on the WestBow picture data base looking for it. When I came across the illustrations available I was able to put them together in my mind and come up with the most appropriate book cover, and that is a world of people that is rising up to the Lord, represented by a white dove, because of their faith.
The hardest part of writing this book would have to be in writing the individual messages. I had to focus every single day on the Lord and overcome the fear of death that hovered over me. I had to ignore the pain and the physical distress and concentrate on building my faith so that I could truly believe that I was healed. I had to cast down all the negative reports from the medical world that said I would die. And by doing that I realized that each message strengthened the foundation of my faith, and together, they made my faith strong. When I formatted the messages into the book, every one of them brought me back to the torment I was going through at the time, but I was able to rejoice and know that it was over.
I thought I knew all there was to know about faith, but it wasn't until I ended up at a cross-roads in my life that I realized how weak my faith really was. And it scared me. Was there time to build it up? I had only a few months and I knew that towards the end of that time, my health would be very poor and that sickness and heavy meds would likely prevent me from leaning on my faith. So, I dove into it head first and was determined to beat this with the Lord. I am very fortunate to have a Christian husband and family and many praying Christian friends who stood with me.
But my concern is that there are many people out there going through the same type of thing but who don't know what faith is and who don't have the support of family and friends. I want to get this book out to every person in the world who wants to know how to overcome sickness and disease. There is wisdom in the Bible that most of us totally miss and don't realize until it's too late. My passion and my hope is to teach others how to get faith, how to develop their relationship with God through faith, and how to use faith to get the victory over the horrendous diseases that come against us, such as cancer. It's too late to save my younger sister and some dear friends that have lost their battle with cancer, but I truly hope that this book will bless others so that they can know that nothing is impossible to God because we are His children and there is nothing He hasn't done for us - if we would only believe it.
I am currently writing the follow-up to this book and it's called Against All Odds. This is my testimony of what I did according to the Bible that has given me the victory over cancer, and that has given me good physical and mental health, a happy yet humble attitude, and an appreciation for the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is my hope that this second book will be a blessing for everyone battling cancer so they, too, can see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
