Book: Stark Contrasts (An Adam Stark novel) by Peter Carrollcategories: Book, Vigilante, Serial Killer, Police Procedural, Revenge, London, Sociopath, Crime Thriller
Peter Carrollabout this book: This is my third novel. It morphed a few times on its way to the finish line, although it always dealt with revenge in different forms. Along the way, I had the idea for a sociopath with a difference - one with a social conscience, on a misguided mission to avenge life’s irritants and teach people some pretty harsh lessons.
As the novel progressed I also introduced the character of Adam Stark; a Scottish police detective working in London. He gave his name to the title and will now feature in a series. In this book, he is pitted against this most unorthodox of criminals and battles to work out what is going on!
The cover went through a few iterations before ending up as it is. I am really happy with it in terms of its relevance to the title and its impact graphically. Hope you agree!
As always with my novels, you'll get violence, bad language, twists, shocks and black humour. I hope you enjoy this unusual crime thriller, and I wonder if you can work out whodunit before Stark does…
