David S. Tanzabout this book: A Shot of Brandi is a mystery, crime thriller that takes place in Philadelphia, New York and the island of St. Martin. It has two major storylines. The first involves Rick Grosse, who along with his partner, own a business that provides leagal and not so legal services to those who have the resoursces. At the same time, Rick has been searching for a lost love whom he got prenant in high school and is nowhere to be found. Nothignhappens the way it should. Inspiration came as a result of reading too many of the same, predictable novels in this genre. Patterson, Sandra Brown and Lee Child fans should enjoy.
It took a little over four months to write and my friend Carole, a helpful soul, derived the title. The cover has some clues about the story, as well as trying to grab ones attention. The toughest part was sitting down in one place for prolonged periods and quelling my ADHD. Research was done to make the needed facts accurate, regarding restaurants, professions and geographies. I learned, or hope I did, how to catch the readers attention and give them an unexpected conclusion. It is an easy, escape type read that combines fact and fiction. Many readers have said it was a page turner and a good effort for my first attempt. Plainly, its a fun and entertaining read.
