Book: Two Little Boys - DI Ted Darling Book II by L M Kriercategories: Book, Thriller, Detective, British Police, Murder, Gay, Crime Fiction
L M Krierabout this book: DI Ted Darling is a different sort of detective. His latest case is a dark one and will force him to confront dark demons from his own past life, things he has kept hidden for too long.
Two Little Boys lets readers discover more about Ted and what makes him the man he is. The case is a hard one, but readers are spared too much graphic description.
As the case develops, Ted start to realise how high up in society the sordid affair goes. He knows he is going to need help with this case. He finds himself struggling to cope with a new boss, much more formal than his old friend Jim Baker. Yet it is his new senior officer who may yet prove to be his greatest ally.
Ted's long term relationship with his partner Trevor comes under almost intolerable strain and Ted struggles to deal with so many factor at the same time.
The subject matter for this book, child sex abuse, is harrowing. I wanted to get it exactly right so I have spoken to abuse survivors and social workers in researching the book.
