L. M. Boelzabout this book: This book is based on my childhood fears of something hiding under my bed waiting to reach out and drag me under. Growing up with three sisters and one brother we used to play practical jokes on each other. My brother had one of my sisters hide under his bed and when he saw me coming he had them reach out and start pulling him under. He put on a good show; I was truly scared something was trying to kill him.
Even though I found out it was all make believe, I never really got over it. Still to this day, I can't have any part of me hanging over the edge of the bed.
I used this fear of troll-like creatures to base a story on. Follow Carol as she finds out some questions are better off unanswered. In her battle to separate fantasy, from reality, Carol begins to realize the stories about creatures hiding under the bed; are not just stories after all.
