Karen Musser Nortmanabout this book: Many years ago, I worked at a lunch counter in a drugstore. Every day, a set of twins would come in, dressed exactly alike, sit on the stools in the same manner, and order the same thing in unison. Had they been children, this would not be remarkable but they were at least in their late thirties. This was always an intriguing relationship to me.
In "Peete and Repeat," the third Frannie Shoemaker Campground Mystery, Frannie and her friends meet Valerie and Virginia Peete, who have just such a relationship. They are all camping near the Burden River Bike Trail in Southeast Minnesota. A double murder, a colorful campground hostess, a couple of wannabe terrorists and an aspiring country singer make things more interesting. The Shoemakers and their friends spend the weekend pursuing fun and the murderer on the bike trail, in an old power plant, in a country bar, and in a spooky old power plant. As Frannie's brother-in-law Mickey says, people all over the Midwest are checking to make sure that Frannie doesn't have the next spot before they make their camping reservations.
"Peete and Repeat" is a finalist in the Chanticleer CLUE Awards.
