Book: Red Haze (Toxic Friendships) by Adrian Lilly

Adrian Lillyabout this book: Toxic Friendships isn't your typical series. You can read any book in the series, skip one, and pick up again—because the books are only related thematically. Each book will explore relationships gone wrong, and each book introduces new characters and situations.
The series also inhabits a gray area between cozy mystery, thriller, and dark fantasy.
In Red Haze, college roommates, Sara and Marne, are pulled into the world of the supernatural as they investigate a year-old death that they now believe to be a murder. It doesn't take long for them to realize that a very real—and living—danger is still walking the campus.
In the Toxic Friendships series, strong friendships balance out the toxic ones, or as one reviewer notes, "although it definitely does deal with a number of toxic friendships--and toxic relationships--and toxic traditions, the story also pivots around some friendships that are deep, valued, and worthwhile."
This series is for anyone who enjoys a bit of a scare, and doesn't mind a little introspection with their light reading.
