Walt Lambergabout his book: "Wild Horseback Ride" is a collection of nine contemporary short stories. The title of the collection is also the title of the first story. I chose the book cover image because I found the "expression" on the horse's "face" very interesting. Looking closely at the eye and mouth, I got the idea the horse could be thinking, "So you think you can ride me, control me. You're in a for surprise."
I worked on the stories over a period of several years, but after putting them together in the collection, I found they all shared some points in common. All have to do with relationships. The relationships have some serious issues, but also some humor. As in many relationships, one person has more control or authority than another (like the horse and the horseback rider). Here are the relationships: father and son. male and female college students in a somewhat romantic relationship, teachers and students, and employees and co-workers and bosses.
The Kindle book has an interactive table of contents so that you can read the stories in any order. Simply click on a story title in the contents to go to that story. Then return to the contents and select another story to read.
