LA Johannessonabout this book: 'eloves me, eloves me not' is a contemporary romantic comedy about looking for love online. Trust me, this stuff is funnier when it's happens to someone else. So, join Kayte and the quirky cast of characters who all share their unique views on dating and love. As you immerse yourself in the story, you're bound to find someone you can relate to as well as a few things that are sure to make you giggle!
Don't' think this chick lit novel is all dreamy first dates and candle lit dinners though. It is also a frank coming of age tale that examines what will and won't be done in the name of love. And, it looks at some serious life issues: friendship, work life balance, fidelity, re-entering the singles scene and the influence of technology on communication, relationships and love.
I'll admit that this novel is "well researched", but it is fiction that draws on some personal experiences with online dating. I purposely wrote it in the first person using a highly conversational style as I felt that the story needed this to create the required levels of intimacy and authenticity between the characters.
If you're the least bit curious about online dating, have a read and see if you can predict where Kayte will end up and with whom!
