Book: Under The Desert Moon (Desert Sky Series) by Mary Tate Engels
|4 stars based on the 3 most helpful Amazon reviews|
Mary Tate Engelsabout this book: I have written many Southwestern Romances and Under The Desert Moon is one of those. The characters and their location are also in Under The Desert Sky and are intertwined in both books. Southern Arizona where this book is set reaches along the border of Mexico. Surprisingly, this area is over a mile high in elevation, has runoff from the surrounding mountains and is prime farm land for many different fruit trees and more recently, grapes for wine growing.
This story includes an apple farm, undocumented people and the struggle of living with their migration to find a better way of life. It's a story of love and life working to save an apple orchard, attempting to save innocent lives and falling in love with an unlikely hero.
The cover photo backdrop was taken in Cabo San Lucas. An old Spanish ruin that set overlooking the Pacific Ocean was the setting for our picture that we provided to our cover artist. It hints of a Western novel set in the country with influences of the American Southwest and Mexico.
