Roseanne Dowellabout this book: My first book published as Satin Sheets back in 2006, it sold 35,000 copies. I rewrote, revised it as It's Only Make Believe in Oct. 2013. I first got the idea for the story from the song Satin Sheets.
Brad and Michelle grew up together. Their parents always planned on their marriage. Besides, the company business depended on it. Michelle had a crush on Brad during their teenage years, but he didn't know she was alive. Now, grown and with a business of her own, her parents and grandparents expected her to marry him? Were they insane? What was even crazier, Brad – being pressured by his own parents – agrees to the plan and comes up with a proposition for Michelle. Surely they none of them expected her to go along with this idea, did they?
Obviously, they did and Michelle caves, gives into Brad's plan only after he promises to remain faithful. Unfortunately, his assistant and former lover, Ruby, has other ideas. Can Michelle carry this deal through? Or will Ruby win?
• "A classic modern romance! Michelle and Brad don't want this arranged marriage, but, as usual, allow their parents' wishes to prevail. This novel is a true page turner, urging the reader onward, hoping for that final crescendo of love."
