Bridget Straubabout this book: What would you do if the love of your life cheated on you? What would you do if he swore he had done no such thing, and yet you had been sent what appeared to be proof? This is the dilemma Stacy is forced to confront when, on a hot August afternoon, her every belief in the love that she and her husband Pete share is shaken.
If that weren't shattering enough, she has to attend the wedding of her younger sister in-law, where she is confronted by both Pete's family and her own.
As this scandal unfolds, damaging opinions are expressed by both families and Stacy is left not knowing what to do. Does she throw away everything she has come to trust due to one possible indiscretion, or does she forgive and try to forget? With two small children, and a lot of confusion as to what actually did or did not happen, she ultimately has to decide what she can live with.
Although the subject matter is serious, there are comical moments that arise. In the end, this is a book about love, family and the choices we are sometimes forced to make.
