Patricia Gauthierabout this book: Life is a gift. Something to celebrate. Having gone through years of infertility, only to end up getting pregnant (finally) on my own, it's even more precious to me. I have been blessed with two children and, if I wasn't so dang old, would have had more.
Does that mean my book is a watered down version of the traditional romance novel. Hell no!
Trish Haywood has been raised at a convent in rural Canada all of her life. When she is cast out at age twenty one,she is told to go to see Jake Sullivan in Harbor Springs USA. This is where her life truly begins. Or so she thought when she opened her event planning business, Celebrations. She was happy, healthy and content, but wasn't there more to life? Never having known the joys of having a man in her life, she didn't think that was even an option for her. Men made her nervous, though she hid it well behind a cool exterior.
Davis Sinclair was a determined divorced father of a four year-old little girl. Meeting Trish Haywood was the last thing he expected when he attended the bachelor/bachelorette auction that his Aunt Sylvia had helped organize. How was he supposed to know Trish was the organizer? After all, he was new in town. Smitten with her he found the more she said no, the more he had to have her. Was it so bad to have to use a little blackmail to finally get her to say yes?
