Author Frances Hoelsemaabout this book: Next Door Neighbors is book two in my Neighbors series. Within the pages of this novel there is a lot of pain, passion and pursuit. The reader will be sure to have their heart strings tugged at and will be left wanting to read more.

Elena Montgomery is an elderly woman dealing with fibromyalgia. Not wanting to live on her own any longer, she calls on her son, Brian, to come up and help her get ready to move her out and sell her home. The moment he's in town he starts falling for his mom's neighbor, Jill.

Jill is strongly attracted to Brian as well. The two hit it off and both seem to want to pursue a relationship. However, something is holding Jill back. Already having been through a lot, her heart won't allow her to fall into Brian's arms.

But Brian won't take no for an answer. He keeps pursuing Jill until he uses one last trick. Will it work? Or will both Jill and Brian go back to living their lives the way they did before they even met?

Next Door Neighbors is an easy-to-read, clean contemporary romance, perfect for ages 16 and older.

What inspired me to write this book is that I knew I wanted a Neighbors series when writing my first novel, Growing Up Neighbors. I wanted all three novels in this series to focus on a love story between neighbors. While Growing Up Neighbors has a lot of what happened in my life, Next Door Neighbors does have some aspects of my life in it also that helped me to write it. It took about six months to write this novel.

The title, Next Door Neighbors, was chosen because it seemed to make the most sense: Jill and Brian being next door to one another. The cover was chosen because it has a special part in the story itself. I was really glad to find that picture!
