K.L. Shandwickabout this book: This book took me about nine weeks to write, and as such I found it emotional myself as I wrote some of the content. The title, like all the titles in my books come from something within the story.
Is any young girl ready for love, can a young person feel the depth of feeling others don't feel until they are older? Does everyone mature by their chronological age? In this part of the story the young girl deals with feelings in a raw and honest way, that may feel uncomfortable, but as you read on it's important to portray this side of Valerie.
The cover relates to the girl's aspirations and when you read the story I hope you understand the message the cover sends. Flynn becomes quite powerful man and Valerie is a young girl girl finding her way through her own ambitions.
The story in Ready For Flynn Part 1 is a story of betrayal, tragedy, longing, lust and love. It's a story of survival and change, second chances and trust. I wanted to bring a story that was simple, yet complex and full of feeling, but overall a story of hope.
It's an emotional and touching read, a love story between young people who were destined to meet, and have an instant attraction for each other, but the timing is off. Valerie is very young and protected, but very mature in her outlook. The responsibility she is given at home makes her seem older than her years.
What readers are saying, "I highly doubt that I have the talent to write a review that will do this book justice. This book devastated me, infuriated me, and put all the pieces that broke back together only to know that the ride is not over. I absolutely loved this book and am so thrilled that I chose to read it!" (Bylexiesmomma)
WOW WOW WOW! The emotional journey I just experienced ripped my heart out, stomped it to pieces, and is still waiting for the author to stitch it back up as we speak. The character development is fantastic, with amazing secondaries. An emotionally charged, gut wrenching, and very well written storyline flows effortlessly.
