Francis Rayabout this book: After Cade Mathis escaped a life of hell at the hands of his abusive adoptive father, he left home and never looked back. Now a successful neurosurgeon, the only thing he wants are answers about where he came from. He knows that his mother was from a wealthy family and nothing else. Little did he suspect that Sabrina Thomas, the hospital's patient advocate, would lead him to the family he longed for and a love he never expected.
• How did you come up with the title?
I came up with the title because Cade had such a horrible childhood he never really wanted to see the next day because it would be more of the same abuse. Sabrina made him look forward to When Morning Comes.
• What inspired you to write this book?
I wanted to explore family dynamics and what makes a family. Biological or adoptive parents can love or be completely indifferent to their children. How the parent treats the child, I feel, determines the child's outlook on life.
