Sharon K. Souzaabout this book: Aria Winters is a 23-year-old California native with a family she loves, but is connected much too closely to. She wants off the nut farm. Literaly. So she accepts a one-year teaching position in Moldova. When a crisis strikes her inner circle, she is forced to evaluate her beliefs and face some difficult, lingering truths in her life. There are light and humorous moments in this story that deals with darker issues.
Unraveled is written for women who appreciate contemporary fiction that delves into the characters' spiritual journey. The title has dual meaning, in that she'd like to unravel herself from the close confines of her family life. But it also refers to the unraveling that takes place in her life when she comes face to face with a crisis she doesn't know how to process. Unraveled is enhanced by the first real romantic experience of Aria's life, which to her frustration seems to be one-sided. Unraveled is a fun and though-provoking novel that women of all ages enjoy.
