Alexandra Hamiltonabout this book: These are some emails to my best friend Rebecca Jackson, a young Philadelphia lawyer. The stories they tell are like everyone's stories in the big city. Or not! Hope you like them…
My name is Alexandra Hamilton. My great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather (my Illustrious Ancestor) is on the $10 bill. I was born in Philadelphia September 17, 1987, the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution. What a coincidence!
Even with all of that, I'm just a gal living in Los Angeles who likes running, aerobics, music, friends and fun. Sometimes I take pictures with my phone.
Most of the readership of the serialized Web version have been young adults from all over the world. The audience in India, Pakistan, France and Germany equal the audience in the U.S. and U.K.
It took daily episode writing from June through October, 2012 to produce the material which was published in the book. The title is from characterizing emails as letters, which is fair in this circumstance.
A friend designed the cover, and no research was necessary. After finishing the episodes, I moved to a more journalistic style, which will be published in the next book, The Xandra Journal (maybe June of 2013?)
It's all about living life!
