Book Review: Fractured Vows (Brooklyn and Bo Chronicles - Book 3) by Brenda Perlin
|5 stars, 1 review|
Brenda Perlinabout this book: Bo was living a life where he was invisible. As long as he paid the bills and took care of the household needs his wife was fine. While they lived in separate sections of the house she bragged about what she would receive upon his death.
Fractured Vows is special because it is the first book in the series taken from a guys point of view. This is the real deal. Nothing was made up just names and a few dates. There is a ton of raw soul-searching emotions shared in this coming-of-age story.
I love stories of the human condition. I think many people will relate to Bo and his struggles. He shares feelings he didn't know he had. He wanted it to be as honest and forth-coming as possible.
This was the hardest book in the series for me to write because it was the first book NOT based on my life. I had to struggle to get the words out of a guy that has pretty much closed up. It was a challenge but I am pleased with the outcome.

Two sides to every story
a review by Mary Ann BernalFractured Vows in the third installment in the Brooklyn and Bo chronicles, which is told from a male's perspective. Men usually do not reveal their innermost thoughts and feelings, no matter the circumstance, which makes this book unique. The reader learns why Bo chose to stick to principle rather than cave in to unreasonable demands. This book gives closure to everyone involved, but are there happy endings? No spoilers, read the book to discover the truth.
