Piper Templeton

about this book: My lifelong love for the Beatles inspired this novel told in linked short stories. Each chapter/story is named after a Beatles song, which serves as the overlaying theme of the particular slice of life segment.

It takes place in a New Orleans suburb in the 1970s and early 1980s. The tranquil, mundane daily life routines belie the struggle, hopes and entrapment that confront protagonist Ellen as she plods through her life with a little help from the Beatles.

Beatle fans have appreciated the references to the Fab Four. Readers who are not particular music fans have identified with growing up in the time period the book covers and the characters.

• "Completely empathized with the main character over the loss of John Lennon in 1980... Anyone even a little a fan will love this and the story surrounding the Beatle theme was excellent." — Amazon Reviewer

• "Reading this book was like a trip back in time. The ups and downs of her love life was much like my own back in the day." — Amazon Reviewer
