Book: Ollie And The New Moon by Carl Derhamcategories: Book, Science Fiction, Clubbing, Surfing, Partying, Interstellar Travel, Adventure, Comedy
Carl Derhamabout this book: Ollie and the New Moon is a hilarious tale of a young drummer from London who inadvertently gets catapulted into an inter-stellar adventure. He becomes the unlikely recipient of the knowledge left for humanity by an ancient race of beings called the Annenians and embarks, with his friends on a race to save the Earth from a giant asteroid and a war-mongering race of thugs.
Ollie has been enjoyed by both science fiction fans and those who would never dream of reading such a book. It's fun, it's silly and it will keep you reading till the end.
There are one or two adult themes but Ollie has been enjoyed by teenagers and those of a more mature vintage alike. It's all about having fun. If you happen to save the planet from certain doom in the process, then all the better.
I have now completed the sequel, Ollie and a Star Bridge Too Far, so get reading.
'It's amazing what being made captain of the most powerful ship in the galaxy will do for a guy's confidence.'
