Book: Oh no, I've Fallen in Love! Warning: contains nuts. by Louise Wise

Louise Wiseabout this book: This is a dark chick lit novel that focuses on the main character's downward fall into depression. She can feel herself falling but doesn't know how to pull herself out. She has disturbing dreams at night that keeps her awake.
Her bitchy persona is an act, and it seems only her self-nominated 'fairy godmother'(Ellen) can see that. She sets out to 'cure' Valerie, when all Valerie wants is to be left alone with her misery, but she didn't reckon on Prince charming coming into her life, in fact, he can take a hike! After Valerie's bedded him, of course. She's a modern woman, after all.
The primary readers of this book will be modern women between the ages of 17 and 60, it does contain the odd swear word and several sexual scenes (no erotica).
The research for this book took place mainly in a pharmacy where the author picked the brains of the practising pharmacist. Depression is a devastating illness, which is often judged wrongly. It can take its victim into various holes of despair. This book, although 'light-hearted' doesn't make fun of the condition. Laughter, as they say, is the best medicine.
