Michael Hebler about this book: The Night After Christmas extends the classic, The Night Before Christmas, authored by Clement C. Moore about Santa's return home to the North Pole after completing his busiest night of the year.
This picture book, intended for believers of any age, was originally written for a children's Christmas variety show at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California in 1993. It was the audiences who originally influenced adapting the poem (written in the same sing-song verse as the original) into a storybook that could be included in every home's Christmas tradition, enjoyed by the entire family. It begins with the kid's tucked in their beds after a long day of playing with their new Christmas goodies and ends with Santa making the long trip back to the North Pole? There is some worry as Santa's wife and worker elves wonder if he will make it through the storm, but all ends as it should and the tired old elf is able to rest peacefully in bed.
