Luana Ehrlich

Author Luana Ehrlichabout this book: Readers who enjoy a pulse-racing thriller will not be disappointed in Two Days in Caracas. Reviewers have called it "action-packed and riveting" and have described the characters as "well-developed and believable."

In addition to the plotline, readers will also be fascinated by the protagonist, Titus Ray, who is a complicated man, continually wrestling with questions of faith, while dealing with the difficulties of being a CIA intelligence officer.

Besides wanting to entertain my readers, I began this series of thrillers to show how an experience of faith often happens to the most improbable people in the most unlikely of circumstances. Titus is a career intelligence officer, dedicated to carrying out deceptive, treacherous, sometimes violent, operations against both individuals and governments. He was raised in a dysfunctional family with no spiritual upbringing, and yet, while hiding out from Iran's secret police, he was confronted with the truth of the gospel. God does indeed work in mysterious ways.

In Two Days in Caracas, Titus makes a gruesome discovery in Costa Rica which completely changes his mission and forces him to partner up with an untested operative. As he tries to stop the assassin, Ahmed Al-Amin, from murdering a Venezuelan government official, Titus winds up in a safe house in Caracas where he encounters an old nemesis, who brings up painful memories from the past, and a CIA station chief, who's ethically challenged. Will he be able to stop the assassin in time? Can his newly discovered faith help him overcome his past failures?

A reviewer writes, "The story was action-packed, and one is left wondering how the author could be so knowledgeable of the CIA and the work of their covert operatives. I've read and enjoyed many Robert Ludlum books and I'd rank this series right up there with his!"
