Book: Unopened (Deploying Faith Series Book 1) by Michelle Lynn Browncategories: Book, Romance, Miscarriage, Military Life, Faith, Divorce, Christian Fiction
Michelle Lynn Brownabout this book: Unopened is the first book in the Deploying Faith series, which explores the invisible wounds and struggles military members and their family face. In Unopened, Hannah and Keith Anderson are embarking on a new journey - retirement. But Keith is struggling to find his purpose and Hannah is struggling to hold onto their crumbling marriage. She finds a box of Unopened letters, and as she begins to unravel the mystery of the source of these letters, it feels like everything around her is unraveling as well. This book deals with marriage, military life, miscarriages, depression, and holding onto our faith no matter what door we are walking through.
The idea for this book sprang from a photo of a woman, sitting on a window seat, reading a letter with a sad expression on her face. From there, the idea just snowballed into a couple who faced closed doors time after time. The theme of Unopened is threaded throughout the book. Unopened letters, unopened doors, an unopened womb, and unopened hearts. I hope that readers will find themselves in these characters and be encouraged in their circumstances and renewed in their faith.
