Danielle Benjiabout this book: I have written book a about a little girl named Emily who discovers that her favorite dress-up shoes have lost their color. She contemplates throwing away the shoes, but soon learns about the shoe cobbler and takes them to a shoe repair shop with her mom. Emily is surprised to find that the shoe cobbler isn't who she envisioned…
"Emily and the Cobbler", was inspired while parenting ,and by my mother who is female cobbler which is usually considered a man's job.
"Emily Meets the Cobber " is for children 5 and up
It took me a couple of days to came up the story line for this book - it was effortless since I have a very broad imagination.
Since the book was based on meeting a cobbler I decided to make it universal by using the name Emily , so it turned out be "Emily Meets the Cobbler." I choose the cover design to show Emily happily walking out of of the shoe repair shop because she was so ecstatic about her favorite red dress-up having it's color back.
I learned another way to bring out my enter child through writing for children ,and by getting your shoes repaired you would be in the long run protecting the environment. I didn't do much research for this book. I have two cobbler in my family I have watch them repair shoes, belts, and handbags etc from a very young age.
To my reader is great book to start discussing with your toddlers would they would like to be when they grow up. It's a easy learn-to-read book as well.
Thank you for reading.
