Pippa Wilsonabout this book: How cool is the world of metamorphosis? Insects and amphibians being able to completely transform, and we get to observe them along the way … well sometimes, anyway.
As a child I remember collecting mulberry leaves off the tree at my school. The juicy berries would stain our uniforms as we trampled around finding nice leaves to feed silkworms that were housed in a shoe box in our classroom. We'd watch them get fatter and fatter, then miraculously they would spin themselves into a silky cocoon. If we were lucky, we'd see the silk moth appear and flap around before it was released.
So many wondrous changes in our world inspired me to write this book for children, to introduce them in a fun way to the transforming tricks from Caterpillars to Butterflies, Tadpoles to Frogs. There's even a visit from the beautiful dragonfly.
'Lover of Books' on Amazon has said "both boys and girls will love this fun book that uses inventive rhymes to explain metamorphosis. There are many pictures that bring this informative adventure to life!"
I hope you and your kids enjoy it too.
