Simon James Houseabout this book: Andee The Aquanaut is an action adventure trilogy. Book one, Guardian of the Great Seas is approximately 140 pages. The trilogy is written for children ages 6-12.
Book one starts with the young boy Andee who lives on an island with his marine biologist parents. Andee is set adrift in the ocean after a terrific storm and is saved by his dear dolphin friends, Tingo and Tango. He becomes a part of their family and has many exciting adventures. He then discovers through the help of the Wise White Dolphin that he is the Chosen One and, with the use of a special suit that enables him to swim in and under the ocean, he learns that his purpose is to assist and protect the creatures of the seas. Much turmoil and many dark and evil forces stand in his way as he works hard to save all marine life.
The book has twenty-four colorful and exciting illustrations by professional cartoonist and illustrator Zoran Zlaticanin from Kragujevac, Serbia whose work has appeared in newspapers and magazines around the world and in collective art galleries in New York, Kyoto and Amsterdam.
The author has always been a highly imaginative person and writing is one way he expresses his creativity. Born in the small village of Belvedere just on the edge of South East London, Simon was always playing the class clown much to the dismay of his teachers and delight of his schoolmates.
A number of years ago, Simon discovered surfing and has travelled all over the world to enjoy his sport. His love of the oceans and marine life inspired him to create the story after he began sketching the character Andee who demanded he be brought to life in this trilogy.
Andee is both a child, superhero and role model that children will relate to instantly. Boys and girls with lively imaginations will be empowered by the positive messages that inspire courage and accomplishment. Parents will also appreciate the educational aspects of the book, which promote the love of reading and desire to learn more about the oceans and marine life. The book is especially suitable for building self-confidence and determination.
Simon writes two to four hours per day and works closely with his editor, illustrator (and Andee himself!) as well as using his imagination and the use of his own photographic memory in creating the books. The story is evolving so much and into something bigger than he ever expected. As of July 2014, book two is currently with his editor and he is immersed in creating book three as well as working with a recording artist for the production of the first audiobook.
Simon is a member of Protectors of Whales and Dolphins based in Ireland. He supports cetaceans in distress by donating a percentage of profits from sales of the trilogy to worthy marine life organizations worldwide. Children will enjoy the colorful Andee website and many educational posts and videos that can be found on his Facebook page.
