about this book: The Mrs.Bumblebottom series, as this is the first book, is about teaching children about different life lessons and showing them that ultimately we are all the same and how to navigate difficult times in our lives. Mrs. Bumblebottom uses just a tinge of magic to transform children into something they have always wanted to be and then shows them that that was already inside them from the beginning. I understand standing out in a crowd all too well; so this series has a special place in my heart.

This first book is about a boy named Derek who is always looking for the right words to say but never can quite form them. The result is that he is very quiet until he learns how to become a little chatter box with the magic of Mrs. Bumblebottom. See she turns him into a robot as robots know the answers and just say them! Along the way he has some embarrassing moments; like tripping in front of school mates, and again learns how to use his humor to make light of the situation.

I hope to reach children that have some social challenges to overcome and show them that they too have it inside of them beat their fears.
