Shirley Michelleabout this book: As bedtime rolls around for a young boy the sounds of the outside world inspire him to conjure up some silly monsters. When he's had enough and he finally finds the courage to find out what's actually making all the noise he learns it's not nearly as bad as he thought it was.
"Is It Big? Does It Bite?" is a poem and song as much as a bedtime story. The lyrics for this story were dancing in my head as I woke up one morning. It took all of twenty minutes to write but FOREVER to illustrate. (I'm not an artist by any means.) The monsters are those that existed in my childhood and I know full well that they are as real as anything else could possibly be for a moment in time. It's intended to ease the fear associated with bedtime for a child who might not be uncomfortable in the dark. I hope you and your family enjoy!
